WORKING OUT AT HOME vs. AT THE GYM

Getting healthier and getting fit is a direct result of committing yourself to a properly designed fitness program. It's also about getting more active on a daily basis and incorporating fitness as part of your lifestyle.

It is NOT about the name of the gym you go to.
It is NOT about being part of the "scene"
It IS about working hard and making a commitment to your health. This you can do without a membership anywhere.

While gyms offer a variety of programs, machines and services, it can be easy to get lost among the chaos. Not to mention getting bogged down by yearly contracts, fees, plus the cost of personal training after the fact.

You can achieve the same results, if not better, without the hassle, extra cost, and time in getting to the gym on a regular basis. By working out at home you can utilize the minimal amount of equipment you may have (which may be none) without having to leave the comfort of your own home.

By starting personal training at home you can avoid all of the excuses that come with getting started at a gym. I will be at your door, ready to workout, and leave an hour later, having put you through a well-rounded workout with no extra effort on your part to keep the commitment and actually make it happen. All of your hard work and energy can be dedicated to the workout itself.

While it is helpful to have some equipment such as dumbbells, a stability ball, resistance bands or tubing, or even a piece of cardio equipment, it is by no means necessary. Based on your goals I will design a program that will involve a lot of body weight exercises, functional movements, and cardiovascular activity that will be sure to challenge you no matter what your current fitness or skill level is. In good weather we will also look to get outside and get your legs moving. Whether that involves walking, running, or utilizing a nearby park/hill/stairs, you can improve your fitness level, lose weight, and enjoy the outdoors all at the same time.

Don't hesitate any longer! There are no more excuses. Personal training can be at your doorstep!

TESTIMONIALS

“I have been a client of Mark's for the past 6 years. Before that, I tried to keep fit, but consistency has always been a problem for me. All of my adult life I have been on and off with fitness, exercise, my weight and energy levels. Business and family demands always took priorities over my health. Both my work and my 8-year old son demand high levels of energy from me, which are only possible to sustain when I am in good physical condition.

Then enters Mark. Everything has changed since. I have not missed a single session for the last few years. I am in the greatest shape of my life, having just turned 52, and I have tons of energy to manage all of my life's demands. I look great, feel great and secretly enjoy getting constant compliments from people commenting on how good I look.

If you need to check for yourself, come and see me, or call me and I will share with you what Mark has done for me, and how he has turned my life around. Even my 8-year old boy watching me work out with Mark has decided he wanted to work out as well. It is contagious, like anything positive or negative. I would prefer to see my son being affected by the fitness bug right from the start!”

“I trained with Mark before, during and after my pregnancy. He has the knowledge and the experience to tailor my workouts to accommodate my various physical states. I continue training with Mark because he keeps our sessions challenging, interesting and fun. I also get the results I want and I feel great! I confidently recommend Mark to family and friends.”

Cindy, 43 Toronto, ON

"Years ago, I didn't like working out and had a hard time motivating myself to do so. In 2002 when I stopped going out to work and started working at home, I decided to join a gym. The gym charged me a lot of money and I had a trainer who gave me the same boring workout every time I was there.

A friend recommended Mark to me and I started seeing him in 2005. Ever since I started working out with Mark, I've really enjoyed my workouts. He varies them all the time so I'm not always doing the same workout. Mark is also very patient, and best yet, he comes to my condo and we work out in my condo gym, or we go outside to exercise as well.

This is better as I am blind and don't have to worry about traveling to the gym. Mark knows how to set up a program for blind people, and does a good job of explaining everything to make sure I'm comfortable in understanding the workout. I would recommend Mark to anyone."

Cheryl, 50 Toronto, ON
